Visit Garland Farm
Garland Farm will be open Thursday and Saturday 1-5PM from July 4 to September 14. Contact volunteers@beatrixfarrandsociety.org for further information. Garland Farm is also open for tours by appointment only from May through October. Tours can be designed around special interests, such as garden design, horticulture, biography, history, and other topics. For individual visitors, one week's notice is required, but for groups up to 40 people, one month's notice is required. All appointments need to be reconfirmed one day prior to the scheduled date. Garland Farm is located on Route 3 on Mount Desert Island. From the island bridge, go east toward Bar Harbor for approximately 2 miles and turn left on Bay View Drive. Turn left into the parking area in the field and follow footpath to barn.
From downtown Bar Harbor, go north on Route 3 passing Hadley Point Road (about 7 miles). Continue past the Eden Village Motel & Cottages. In .2 miles turn right on Bay View Drive, then left into the parking area. Do not park on Bay View Drive. Accessible parking is available with advance notice. Please call 207-288-0237.
