Garland Farm is open for tours by appointment only from May through October. Tours can be designed around special interests, such as garden design, horticulture, biography, history, and other topics. For individual visitors, one week's notice is required, but for groups up to 40 people, one month's notice is required. All appointments need to be reconfirmed one day prior to the scheduled date. Garland Farm is located on Route 3 on Mount Desert Island. From the island bridge, go east toward Bar Harbor for approximately 2 miles and turn left on Bayview Drive. Turn left into the parking area in the field and follow footpath to barn.
From Bar Harbor, go north on Route 3 and after passing through Salisbury Cove, turn right on Bayview Drive, then left into the parking area. Do not park on Bayview Drive. Accessible parking is available with advance notice. Please call 207-288-0237.
